Things to consider:
- Have you had a Preliminary Ecological Appraisal (PEA)? A PEA can determine which species groups are likely to be present within your site and what types of survey will be required.
- Surveying timings for specific species and groups can vary considerably — please refer to our guidance on survey timings to determine when you should book surveys.
- Will any protected species licenses be required? Some species and groups such as bats and great crested newts (GCN) are protected under European legislation. If your site has the potential to support these species, then additional surveying will be required.
We are happy to provide our professional advice and support you with your ecological requirements.
