Landscape-led open spaces shaping a new rural community
Hill Rise, located in Woodstock, West Oxfordshire, is nestled between the boundary woodlands of Blenheim Estate grounds and the valley woods lining the River Glyme. Working with Pye Homes on behalf of Blenheim Estates, Nicholsons developed landscape proposals that reduced carbon emissions by more than 50% compared to the original plans through the application of our in-house tool, ‘elemental’. The landscape strategy delivers a multi-functional, high-quality network of open spaces, including a community growing area, play area, attenuation basins and wider environmental enhancements – shaping a sustainable new rural community.
