RES Global Headquarters

Iconic landscape design for the global headquarters of a multi-national renewable energy developer

Nicholsons led the development of an iconic landscape at RES global headquarters with a focus on sustainability and biodiversity, whilst drawing inspiration from the heritage of the site. Nicholsons undertook both the design and construction of the entrance, central courtyards and cafe terrace, for use by RES staff and visitors. The inner courtyard offers a space that is suitable for corporate entertainment, including a water feature, seating under table top trees and lighting. All spaces are very green, with planting including evergreen multi-stem shrubs in oversized timber planters. The project also included the replacement of large-scale Miscanthus crop with mixed woodlands including running and walking paths for staff use.
