Opening Times

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

In light of recent events and to respect the more vulnerable members of our society, we have unfortunately made the decision to close our Yurt café. This means that we also have to cancel our Mother’s Day afternoon tea, which was due to take place this Saturday. We apologise for any frustration or disappointment this may cause, but feel this is the correct decision to make in the current circumstances.

In terms of our main business, we have put in careful measures of increased hygiene across all sites and plan to continue BUSINESS AS USUAL in all other areas, including our shop and plant centre.

We would add that if you are self-isolating, this is the perfect time to be in the garden and the outdoor air will definitely reduce the chance of infection, so do call us for plants, compost, and tools. We can deliver to your door and will take care not to compromise your isolation. If you need help or advice, why not book a call with our specialist Lorraine who can connect with you on the phone or by email lorraine@nicholsonsgb.com to give you the best horticultural guidance without even visiting your garden.

“We are an Australian family from Brisbane who 2 years ago were driving from Edinburgh to London, stopping overnight in towns including Durham, York and Stratford upon Avon along the way. One particulate morning I wanted to get off the beaten track and find somewhere special to have breakfast. My husband grudgingly took the Aston turn-off the highway, complaining that I was delusional to believe there would be a quaint town anywhere nearby that would serve breakfast. We were driving around not knowing where we were going, our need for a hearty breakfast my only inspiration for convincing my husband to keep driving. Google maps suggested “The Yurt”, following the route, words cannot express my delight at finding your beautiful restaurant. As I will continue to remind my husband for as long as I live, The Yurt and Nicholson’s are living proof of fairytales and dreams coming true. Happy 3rd Birthday and may all your dreams of running a successful establishment be realised.
