Cherwell Business Awards open for Nominations Now!

The Cherwell Business Awards are now open for applications and nominations. Our Managing Director, Liz Nicholson, was asked to speak at the recent launch event to share our company journey as entrants, winners and now sponsors of the awards. Nicholsons have been successful in four separate years of the awards, and felt the time had come to give back. We are delighted to be sponsoring the Charity and Community award – a category that aligns with the core Nicholsons values.

Cherwell Business Awards open for Nominations Now!

The Charity and Community Award is open to any charity, community group or social enterprise in the Cherwell district, irrespective of size. Entrants will be required to fill out an application form, followed by interviews and visits to the charities and groups. Liz will be working with a colleague, Tami Battle, to carry out the judging process. They are keen to meet as many of the applicants in person as possible, feeling very strongly that there is only so much that can be gleaned from an application form.

Nominations can be made openly or anonymously until 20th December. People, businesses and enterprises may apply directly until 14th February, 2020. Speaking in her presentation at the launch event, Liz drew on her own experience entering the awards, and encouraged people and businesses to enter, even if they do not feel they would win. Liz reflected on applying over the years, and spoke about the immense value the application process brings in focusing energy and business aspiration. At the launch, Liz was also interviewed by Kirsty from Banbury Sound. Watch the interview by clicking here, or on the image to the right.

More information can be found on the Cherwell Business Awards website. Please direct any questions about the application procedure for the Charity and Community Award to tami@nicholsonsgb.com.

Please note that Nicholsons will not be applying for any awards this year, as it would be inappropriate in our position as sponsors.
