Tree felling using tree surgeons can be required for many practical reasons, but is often required in confined spaces where a tree has died, is dying back or has become diseased. Nicholsons will give clear impartial guidance as to whether a tree does require felling, or if alternative and more suitable management options are available.
The process will begin with an on-site consultation, during which our arboriculturalist will examine any trees that need work and advise on their appropriate management with proper consideration of your requirements. We will always check for any site protections including Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) and Conservation Areas, and will apply for permissions and consents on your behalf where needed.
Work is undertaken by our experienced in-house team of tree surgeons who will dispose of timber and woodchippings as per your requirements, and can process logs into firewood as an added service should this be wanted. Stump grinding is also available as part of our services, and we will also be pleased to advise and undertake the replanting of suitable tree species, sourced from our Tree & Hedging Centre.
The team are well-equipped to tackle jobs of any size, and employ the very latest equipment and techniques to ensure that every tree felling operation is completed with minimal complication and disruption.
Our Tree Surgery service operates throughout Oxfordshire and the surrounding counties, and will consider jobs further afield dependant on the scale of the work. To discuss your requirements with our Arboriculturalist, contact firstname.lastname@example.org. We will be pleased to help.
Nicholsons is an Arboricultural Association Approved Contractor.
Need a Felling Licence?
Felling licenses are a legal requirement in the UK, and are needed in many situations outside of domestic gardens where tree felling work is undertaken. Our experienced Forestry team can guide you through the exemptions, and if required the application process and paperwork to ensure planned tree work is legally undertaken, and is properly planned. This may also include checks for any other site protections including Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) and Conservation Areas, which must also be considered.
We regularly prepare and submit felling licence applications for our clients, including necessary consultations with statutory bodies such as the Forestry Commission, Natural England, Historic England and Local Authorities. On securing a licence, we can then assist with the planning, budgeting and implementing felling, thinning or coppicing works as needed.
If you would like to enquire further about felling licences, or request some assistance contact email@example.com where a member of our forestry team will be pleased to help.
