Nicholsons Wins Employer Excellence Award in National BALI Awards
Following on from our success in winning the Cherwell Employer of the year award, we are delighted to announce that Nicholsons has also won a National BALI (British Association of Landscape Industries) award. This award comes in the Employer Excellence category, recognising the contribution that Nicholsons make towards the landscape industry and the effort put in to developing our staff.
Nicholsons is one of eight companies in the UK to be awarded Employer Excellence this year. We can now look forward to the December ceremony, where we will learn whether or not Nicholsons has been awarded the Principal Award, which is presented to the overall winner in the category.
The award recognises the support that Nicholsons provide, offering internal training as well as supporting staff through external training and qualifications. The value of staff development is evident in the excellent services provided by the company, demonstrated by our client feedback: “Just one word, amazing! Thank you for organising a very smooth operation”
Nicholsons makes sure that the company is regularly participating in charity work and helping local communities. Recent projects include a whole company visit to Rose Hill Primary school in Oxford, where staff built a Forest Garden for the children to spend their break times in. We also sent a team to Africa, working with the Rafiki Thabo Foundation to build a Tree Nursery for a school in Kenya. All of these projects, along with the day to day work keep Nicholsons staff very busy, which is why the company offers a holiday home in Pembrokeshire for members of staff to use with their families.
